A high grass show -  A tented circus that chooses to set-up, usually for one day, in non-heavily populated areas of the U.S.A.  During my time with Carson & Barnes we played in towns with as little as 5,000 people. This does not mean that the show played only small towns. Setting up on the fringes of large cities was also done.  DJY
